(UNDATED) - Where is the millionaire who won the big $314-million Powerball jackpot Saturday?
Hoosier Lottery Spokesman Andrew Reed says the winner has not stepped forward to validate the winning ticket, but he says that's not unusual. The lucky lottery player is possibly seeking legal and financial advice.
A 50-million dollar jackpot went unclaimed in Indiana a few years ago--that money went into a pool for future promotions and lottery games--the law dictates where unclaimed dollars are directed.
It's not just the public sitting on the edge of its seat waiting to learn who the big winner is, but lottery officials are also waiting to meet the lucky ticket holder.
The lottery winner has 180 days to claim the big jackpot.
