(INDIANAPOLIS) - Three bronze sculptures created by famous artist Tom Otterness were dedicated Tuesday in the west plaza of the Indiana Convention Center.
The sculptures were part of the popular Tom Otterness in Indianapolis 2005 public art exhibition.
Donations of more than $550,000, by more than 35 individuals, corporations and foundations, contributed to the purchase and maintenance of the artwork. The campaign was led by local civic leaders Myrta Pulliam and Maribeth Smith.
The satirical pieces, "free money," "male tourist," and "female tourist," depict tourists taking photographs and a couple dancing on a bag of money.
