(EVANSVILLE) - Evansville Mayor Joanthan Weinzafpel is announcing a third drainage project that should help alleviate flooding on the city’s southeast side during heavy rains.
Weinzapfel say the project includes installing a trunk line to carry water from the neighborhood to a retention pond on Fickas Road as well as separating combined sanitary and storm sewers.
The project should get underway in 2009 and take about two-years to complete.
The engineering contract goes before the water and sewer utility board Tuesday afternoon.
