(FORT WAYNE) - A Fort Wayne youth choir is taking center stage Thursday night to sing the National Anthem in Indianapolis for the Colts season opener against the New Orleans Saints.
Colts President Bill Polian asked the Voices of Unity youth choir to return to the RCA Some following a performance in 2006. Some Colts staffers described the group's musical arrangement as the best in the history of the franchise.
Choir Director Marshall White says R&B singer Keyshia Cole is joining the group of 45 children near the 50 yard line to kick off the game. The group has also performed with artists like Roberta Flack and Josh Groban.
45 children between the ages of 8 and 17 made the trip to Indianapolis to sing the season opening National Anthem.
The choir formed in 2000 as part of the Unity Performing Arts Foundation.
