(ANDERSON) - Police say confrontation between a husband and wife has left the husband hospitalized in critical condition and the wife in jail.
Anderson police say 32-year-old Jason Clay jumped onto the hood of his wife's car early yesterday and hung on for several blocks as she drove before she hit the brakes, hurling him to the pavement.
Clay is being treated for a severe head injury at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
His wife, 31-year-old Kendra Clay, told police she had been visiting her boyfriend when her husband confronted her and threw a cinderblock, breaking the windshield of her car. He then jumped onto the car's hood as she sped away.
Kendra Clay is being held at the Madison County Jail on suspicion of criminal recklessness.
