(INDIANAPOLIS) - Various public safety agencies in Marion County are testing their ability to respond to an emergency situation.
Two chemical release scenarios are taking place today on the east and west sides of the county.
John Althardt with the Local Emergency Planning Committee says the exercise is meant to work out any problems with dispatch and response should a real situation occur. The incidents involve an explosion at a chemical plant and a terrorist action involving multiple vehicles.
Alhardt says it will take about three weeks to evaluate the response.
