(RICHMOND) - Three Ohio residents have come forward to claim the winning ticket in the $314.3 million dollar Powerball jackpot from August 25th.
The winning ticket was purchased at the speedway in Richmond, Indiana. 65-year-old David Coterel of Riverside, Ohio bought the ticket. He says it was about a 45 minute drive from his home to Richmond.
The elder Coterel isn't sure what he'll do with his winnings. His son, David Jr and daughter, Lynn Hiles both said they plan to buy a new car and travel.
They chose the cash option of $145,985,099.64.
This is the largest prize ever awarded by the Hoosier Lottery. The previous largest prize won in Indiana was a $295.7 million Powerball jackpot, won July 29, 1998. That winning ticket was also purchased in Richmond, at a Speedway.
