(GRANDVIEW) - Southern Indiana residents will get a chance to see the world’s largest steamboat as it plans stops along the Ohio River.
The American Queen will stop in Grandview in Spencer County on Wednesday, September 5th. Grandview residents are planning to entertain the passengers with live musical performances, a walking tour of historic homes, as well as craft and food booths.
During its stop, passengers from the steamboat will board motor coaches and tour other sites in Spencer County, including the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, St. Meinrad Archabbey, Buffalo Run, the Santa Claus Museum, and Santa's Candy Castle.
This boat holds over 400 passengers and is making its way down the Ohio River. It is the second of four steamboat stops in Grandview this year. More steamboats will be stopping next year.
