(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis International Airport officials say about 500 people were evacuated from one of the concourses this morning after a vest containing inactive explosives was found at a security checkpoint.
The Transportation Safety Administration says components from a TSA training exercise last night were inadvertently left behind. TSA says it's reviewing how that happened, and how to prevent it in the future.
Concourse D was closed from 5:10AM to 6:10AM after authorities discovered the suspicious item in a tray on a conveyor belt at a security checkpoint.
No flights were cancelled, but about a dozen flights on US Airways or United were delayed, with some more than an hour behind.
