(INDIANAPOLIS) - A 34-year-old Indy woman is facing conspiracy charges for trying to hire a hitman.
D'Antonette Burns was arrested after Indy Metro Police say she tried to hire an undercover officer to kill her ex-husband.
Investigators say Burns met with the undercover officer three times and gave him thousands in cash, a gun, ammunition, aerial photos of the target's home, photos of his place of employment, and even directions to his house. The target was 33-year-old Robert Mays.
The undercover officer told Burns he had completed the job and killed Mays. Burns allegedly paid him off and was then placed under arrest.
