(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana Attorney General Steve Carter has released a statement saying Hoosiers on the state Do-Not-Call list do not need to re-register as those on the federal list do.
Carter call's Indiana's Do-Not-Call list the, "strongest in the country," and says the list is constantly maintained to keep only current numbers, so Hoosiers do not need to re-register every 5 years.
Carter also said the state law is stronger because it does not make an exception for existing business relationships, which means, for example, a group you currently hold a credit card with cannot solicit you over the phone merely because you currently hold a card with them.
