(EVANSVILLE) - A faulty sensor caused a cargo jet this morning to make an emergency landing at Evansville Regional Airport this morning.
According to airport officials, the Boeing 7-27 was enroute to Mexico carrying some sort of hazardous materials when a light in the cockpit indicated a fire in a cargo bay.
The plane landed with firefighters lining the runway, but there was no fire and it was determined that the sensor was giving a false indication.
