(BOWLING GREEN, KY.) - A former Hebron reserve police officer has been charged in a sex sting filmed by Dateline NBC’s “To Catch A Predator.”
24-year-old Michael Patterson of Kouts is one of eight men arrested on charges of arranging online for a sexual rendezvous with what they thought was a 13-year-old girl.
Patterson was a reserve officer for a month, but was fired after he used his red-and-blue flashers to try to pull over a driver. Police say that goes beyond a reserve officer's powers -- he's facing a charge of impersonating an officer.
He's charged in Kentucky with attempting an unlawful transaction with a minor.
