(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Department of Transportation will present initial plans to reconfigure some heavily traveled interchanges that produce huge backups of traffic each day on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
The 600 million dollar proposal would include the Interstate 465 interchange with Interstate 69, which carries more than 170-thousand cars and trucks a day. It would also reconfigure busy I-465 interchanges at Keystone Avenue and Allisonville Road and the I-69 interchange at 82nd Street.
An assessment of the engineering draft will be presented by INDOT at a public meeting later this month.
