(INDIANAPOLIS) - An Indianapolis law firm which played a key role in luring the Colts from Baltimore will lend its name to one of the club lounges in the new Lucas Oil Stadium.
Baker and Daniels will hold naming rights for six years. Neither the team nor the firm will disclose the price tag.
Partner Jack Swarbrick notes two Baker and Daniels attorneys are deeply involved in the new stadium. Fred Glass heads Indy's capital improvement board, which will manage the stadium once it opens, while David Frick, who was part of the negotiations with then-owner Bob Irsay in 1984, is now part of the Stadium and Convention Center Building Authority.
The Colts plan to sell naming rights to 12 entrances and luxury seating areas. Five sponsors have signed on so far, including Lucas Oil, Huntington Bank, Clarian Health and Proliance Energy.
