(INDIANAPOLIS) - A 2-year-old boy is in critical condition after Indianapolis police say he fell from a third-story apartment window.
Police are treating the child's fall last night as an accident. Police say Joshua Carter apparently climbed on top of an old heating register next to a bedroom window. The boy fell three stories onto a concrete sidewalk.
Authorities say he was unconscious when he was taken by ambulance to Methodist Hospital.
Investigators believe the boy's fall may have been partially broken by a gutter on a neighboring building.
