(INDIANAPOLIS) - A 19-year-old is headed to prison for the rest of his life.
Audrain Jones was sentenced Friday in Marion County Criminal Court to 131 years behind bars for two carjacking and rape cases.
Both victims read emotional statements to the court and both tearfully recounted their brutal attacks. One was attacked outside a northwest side Indianapolis school in the spring of 2006. The other was attacked while getting in her car at a downtown parking garage.
The judge hearing the case apologized to both victims for the graphic nature of the testimony and court documents.
Outside the court room, one of the victims' aunts expressed relief and said justice has been served.
Jones' grandmother, Ethel Lacy, says she believes he had a hard life and went down the wrong path. But, Lacy admits Jones made some very serious mistakes.
Jones has a criminal history dating back to the age of 10. With good behavior, Jones could get out of prison when he's 85.
