(FRANKFORT) - Federal officials say some land near Frankfort left tainted by a porcelain factory is ready to return to commercial use.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says a 13-acre parcel known as the Augustus Hook site is now in good enough condition to be sold. It has gone through two government-supervised cleanups.
The land was once listed on the EPA's environmental superfund list.
The property will be auctioned November 14th.
