(UNDATED) - A toy expert says it’s time for parents to do their homework.
With the holiday shopping season arriving, parents across the nation are very concerned about what to give their kids, following a series of recalls. Marianne Szymanski with toytips.com says while recalls only account for a small portion of the market, parents still need to research before buying.
Millions of toys have been recalled over concerns about lead paint content. The toys are made mostly in china.
As for the most popular toy, Szymanski says it's too soon to tell what will be the equivalent of the "Tickle Me Elmo" this year.
