(EVANSVILLE) - The Federal Emergency Management Agency has given Vanderburgh County $312,000 to help pay for the inspection and the retrofitting of anchor straps on mobile homes.
After a tornado killed 25 people in Evansville and neighboring Warrick County two years ago, inspectors found many straps did not meet minimum standards.
