(INDIANAPOLIS) - The former head teller of a New Albany Credit Union is pleading guilty to charges that she embezzled about $7 million.
Federal prosecutors say 49-year-old Patricia H. Sherman of Louisville, Kentucky, took the money from the obelisk federal credit union between 2003 and when she was fired in March.
Authorities say she spent much of the money gambling at various Southern Indiana.
Sherman faces a prison sentence of up to 30 years and a maximum fine of $1 million.
