(UNDATED) - 206,000 Hoosiers could lose their driver’s licenses if they don’t update their social security information.
Starting next week the BMV will send letters to those Indiana residents - asking them to update their licenses or state IDs.
BMV Commissioner Ron Stiver says the state is making this move ahead of federal requirements.
After next Wednesday, all Indiana state licenses will be issued only after the applicant's records have been verified through a social security records check.
