(SOUTH BEND) - Police found drill bits in a toolbox Friday that caused the second bomb scare of the week in South Bend.
South Bend Police Division Chief Gary Horvath said a custodian at St. Anthony De Padua Catholic School saw a man put the toolbox down on the sidewalk outside the school before running away.
Bomb squad members were able to figure out what was in the small container using x-ray equipment and didn't have to blow it up.
On Wednesday members of the bomb squad used a controlled explosion to open what turned out to be an empty suitcase found near the downtown courthouse.
