(UNDATED) - As Indiana continues to be a state leading the way in foreclosures, the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority is today launching a new website and hotline to assist homeowners before they are forced to lose their homes.
The agency says homeowners seeking assistance will be paired with a counselor, who can connect them to a statewide network of agencies to provide one-on-one help.
Data from the Mortgage Bankers Association shows that Indiana is second only to Ohio in the rate of home foreclosures.
Sherry Seiwert, Director of the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority, says The Indiana Foreclosure Network is comprised of public and private partnerships of government agencies, lenders, realtors and housing-related organizations.
Homeowners needing assistance can visit www.877gethope.org or can call 877-438-4673.
