(CROWN POINT) - A Crown Point woman who kept papers showing the history of the U.S. Marshals Service in the mid-1800s under her bed is donating them to a planned museum.
Charlotte Bendt is the great-granddaughter of a district marshal from Western Arkansas. The Marshals service is planning a museum in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Marshals Service Historian David Turk says the records could help show how the Marshals Service has tracked the turbulent path of U.S. History.
