(INDIANAPOLIS) - There’s snow in the forecast, one to three inches—that is far from a blizzard, but it is enough to cause problems on local roads and streets.
Indiana Department of Transportation Spokesman Will Wingfield says the first snowfall of the season is usually the worst for Hoosiers.
Tips for driving safely on bad roads: drive slowly, give yourself extra braking distance, steer into skids, don't use cruise control, and make sure there's no ice or snow impairing your vision.
Another tip, make sure your vehicle is mechanically ready for winter weather.
