(INDIANAPOLIS) - The public got its first look at the newly renovated central library after a two-year delay in the project that ran $50 million over budget.
Hundreds of people Sunday poured into the Downtown Indianapolis library. It had closed in September 2002 in preparation for the construction project. The project cost $103 million after concrete problems led to delays and costs overruns.
Despite the problems, the first patrons were impressed, calling it gorgeous and beautiful.
