(INDIANAPOLIS) - As is the case during every winter season, homeless men and women are flocking to Wheeler Mission in Downtown Indianapolis for shelter.
No one is turned away. When the downtown shelter reaches its limit, guests are sent to overflow shelters.
Several teams of outreach workers go out and try to persuade the homeless to come in out of the elements, but some refuse.
Green says Wheeler Mission is always in need of donations-- especially cash -- but also welcomes such items as pajamas, twin-size sheets, pillows and pillow cases and towels.
