(FISHERS) - It’s a hot time in the town hall of Fishers.
The Fishers Town Council held a public hearing on the annexation of Geist five days after a Hamilton County judge cleared the way for fishers to proceed.
Pete Peterson is the president of the Geist United opposition group. He says the council has not given the residents a good reason why they should become annexed.
Most Geist residents who spoke at the hearing repeatedly expressed displeasure with how the council has dealt with residents of Geist throughout the annexation process.
The Fishers Town Council will vote on the three Geist annexation proposals at next month's meeting.
