(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis police are investigating a homicide on the city’s far Northside.
They were called to an apartment in the Lakeside Point at Nora Apartment Complex. Officers found 48-year-old William Carnes lying in a pool of blood in the kitchen. He had been stabbed several times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives focused their attention on another apartment where Jerome McMurray, an acquaintance of the victim, lives.
Police found more blood in McMurray's apartment and were told by his mother that he was at a hospital getting treatment for a cut. McMurray was arrested and is awaiting his initial hearing.
