(FORT WAYNE) - The mother of an 18-month-old boy whose mummified body was discovered in a Fort Wayne home has waived extradition to face charges in Michigan.
Police in Port Huron, Mich., issued arrest warrants for 23-year-old Ashley Marie Snowden and 38-year-old John William Gonzales, the parents of Braylon Bishop Gonzales.
Police believe Braylon died in Port Huron in 2005. His body was found wrapped in a plastic bag and placed in a storage container in the home that Gonzales and Snowden shared.
Snowden faces a charge of being an accessory after the fact to a felony, while Gonzales is charged with murder, child abuse and being a habitual offender.
