(WEST LAFAYETTE) - A member of the Purdue University ice hockey club team was killed and seven teammates were injured Saturday when their van crashed during a freezing rain.
The crash occurred on Indiana 25 in Tippecanoe County.
20 hockey players, two coaches and a manager were headed to Danville, Ill., in three vans for an afternoon game. One van swerved out of control on the highway and rolled over.
The victim is identified as 18-year-old Andrew Jackson.
