(INDIANAPOLIS) - Next year’s Indy 500 will have two different pace cars for the first time.
One is a concept Corvette that runs on E-85 ethanol fuel. It sports a high-tech paint job that changes between hues of green and gold when seen at different angles or in different light.
That pace car won't be for sale, but the second pace car will be. It's a black-and-silver commemorative-edition Corvette, marking the 30th anniversary of the first Corvette pace car.
Two-time Indy 500 winner Emerson Fittipaldi will drive the pace car during the race on May 25th.
Next year marks the 10th time a Corvette has paced the race.
The cars were unveiled prior to the opening of the Indianapolis Auto Show at the Indiana Convention Center.
