(FISHERS) - Hamilton County Prosecutor Sonja Leerkamp has filed two misdemeanor DUI charges against Fishers High School Principal Scott Syverson.
He was pulled over on December 22nd and allegedly tested at a .18, a tenth more than the state's legal limit.
Controversy erupted after Syverson was not arrested, but instead got a ride home from a Fishers police officer.
Syverson's his attorney says the high school principal is looking forward to resolving this matter and returning the focus to education of the Fishers' students.
The Hamilton Southeastern School Board of Trustees is also investigating and plans to meet about the case today.
