(FORT WAYNE) - A Fort Wayne man was charged Friday with arson after police said witnesses identified him as the person who dumped lighter fluid on the front porch of an apartment building on the city’s southeast side.
Authorities say 48 year-old Ronald Lacey of Fort Wayne got into an argument with a resident of the apartment building and was heard saying that he would return later that night and "burn them out."
Early the next day, fire crews were called to the building after flames were spotted on the front porch of the building.
Police say witnesses saw Lacey setting the fire and fleeing the scene. He is being held in the Allen County Jail.
