(INDIANAPOLIS) - The third annual Indy Homeless Connect is taking place Downtown Indianapolis.
The homeless have the opportunity to find jobs, housing, receive medical and mental health care among many other services at the Indiana Convention Center.
Bill Moreau with the Coalition for Homeless says the event has helped about 900 each of the past two years. More than 450 volunteers and 50 organizations work to help out those in need.
Moreau estimates 2,500 people are homeless each night and about 15,000 experience homelessness within a year in Indianapolis.
