(CRAWFORDSVILLE) - There are now 25 extra inmates at the Montgomery County Jail according to Sheriff Luther Blanton.
But there's no spike in crime. It's just a favor for the sheriff of a neighboring county.
The heating system at the Fountain County Jail is being repaired, so until everything is fixed, the 25 inmates have been transferred to the Montgomery County Jail
None of the inmates are considered dangerous and all of them will move back to fountain county once the heating system repairs are completed.
