(PRINCETON) - The Gibson County Sheriff’s Department has created a Myspace page, using the social networking site as a way to protect children from online predators.
Deputy Sheriff Brad Garnett says that when teens link to the page, the department's badge logo appears on the teen's page. That, Garnett says, may discourage online predators from contacting the teen.
About 50 people have linked to the sheriff department's web page so far. Five are teenagers, the rest are adults or other law enforcement agencies
