(EVANSVILLE) - A medical helicopter made an emergency landing in a Southwest Indiana field after the pilot decided the snow was too heavy to continue flying.
The Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter was transporting a patient from Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Ill., to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
The helicopter landed in a field near the Posey-Vanderburgh County line.
An ambulance arrived about 20 minutes later to take the patient to Deaconess Hospital.
