(NOBLESVILLE) - Three men were rescued from the white river after their canoe capsized Thursday in Hamilton County. The canoe got wedged under a log.
At least one of them was forced under the canoe and then resurfaced because he was wearing a life jacket. The 17-year-old called 911 and firefighters from Carmel and Fishers responded. The other two were located downstream clinging to a tree and rescued.
The adults are identified as 19-year-old Sean Robert and 21-year-old Tony Nguyen.
Carmel Fire Marshall Bruce Knott warns that it's a bad idea to go into the water when the water is high and you don't know what's under the surface.
