(KOKOMO) - Kokomo school officials are moving quickly to reassure high school swimmers after the arrest of their coach on child porn charges.
Brian Hindson was fired Wednesday, a day before his arrest on porn charges, and a day after Kokomo police informed school officials of the allegations against him.
School officials accompanied police to Kokomo High School on an unsuccessful search for hidden video cameras in the girls' locker room. Superintendent Thomas Little says a police search of Hindson's Westfield home did turn up taping equipment.
Federal prosecutors say Hindson admitted hiding video cameras in the locker rooms at Kokomo and Westfield high schools, although it's not part of the charges.
Little met with swimmers and their parents to explain what happened. Little says crisis counselors were on hand for the meeting to offer immediate assistance.
