(LaPORTE COUNTY) - High winds fanned the flames of a LaPorte County fire early Sunday as firefighters struggled to contain it in frigid single-digit temperatures.
The fire broke out shortly after 3:00am. At the Serenity Springs Resort, according to LaPorte County dispatchers.
Firefighters from at least five companies were battling flames much of the night at the office of the getaway complex, near where US-20 meets Interstate 94 on Michigan City's southeast side.
