(DELPHI) - Construction on the final leg of the Hoosier Heartland Corridor will begin this fall, two years ahead of schedule.
The Department of Transportation has also speeded up its estimate of how long it will take--it expects the Lafayette-to-Delphi leg of the highway to be complete three years early, in 2013.
The highway already runs from Delphi through Fort Wayne to I-75 in Northwest Ohio.
