(INDIANAPOLIS) - An Indianapolis man has been sentenced to a year and a month in federal prison for swindling some California real estate investors.
Eric Gurnell of EGA Properties pleaded guilty to wire fraud for taking $107,000 dollars from the investors for three properties in Indianapolis.
The plan was for Gurnell to fix up the properties so the investors could flip them for a quick profit. Small problem: Gurnell didn't own the properties.
Gurnell's been ordered to make full restitution.
