(INDIANAPOLIS) - Federal crash investigators say pilot error caused a 2006 Florida plane crash that killed the founder of a Carmel-based auto dealership chain and two others.
The National Transportation Safety Board says the pilot was flying the twin-engine Cessna too slowly during the runway approach and that an antihistamine found in his system contributed to the crash.
J. D. Byrider President and CEO James Devoe died in the March 23rd crash just a mile from the Melbourne International Airport.
