(INDIANAPOLIS) - 18 year-old Robert Nalley of Indianapolis, who was brutally beaten with a baseball bat on Friday, died at Wishard Hospital on Saturday.
Metro Police Sergeant Paul Thompson said officers were called to the 4400 block of Lickridge Court early Friday afternoon because of a fight involving at least 10 people. When police arrived, they found Nalley under some blankets with a group of people standing around him.
Police arrested two brothers in the beating: 18-year old Michael Blankenship and 20 year-old Allen Blankenship, both of Indianapolis. They were initially charged with aggravated battery.
But since Nalley died, the prosecutor may decide today to upgrade those charges to voluntary manslaughter or murder.
