(INDIANAPOLIS) - About two dozen Indiana school districts bought beef from the California packing plant forced to recall more than 71 tons of beef.
The Indiana Department of Education says the US Department of Agriculture advised schools of the recall earlier this month, and the meat has been in storage until the USDA issues final orders on what to do with it.
DOE spokesman Jason Bearce says there's no health risk associated with the beef.
