(INDIANAPOLIS) - Governor Mitch Daniels kicked off the conference on service and volunteerism Tuesday in Indianapolis.
Daniels says the initiative involves the state's volunteer and faith-based organizations, who get together to help other Hoosiers.
Daniels says the conference has made many contributions, including the state's RX Indiana Program, which he calls the country's most successful volunteer program. So far the program has helped 218,000 Hoosiers lower their prescription drug costs.
The governor adds the program's value is immeasurable.
