(EVANSVILLE) - The Vanderburgh County Highway Department is asking the council for a more than $100,000 to help cover the extra expenses used to keep roads clear and in good shape.
Highway Garage Superintendent Mike Duckworth says in the last three months, there have been a dozen "weather events" that have affected his department ranging from ice storms and winds that knocked down trees to flooding.
