(UNDATED) - The Indiana Department of Transportation says the signal timing improvements made in 2007 saved Hoosier motorists nearly $1-million dollars in fuel costs.
INDOT last year retimed 372 signals across 66 highway corridors statewide.
Officials also say signal synchronization reduced carbon monoxide emissions by 50,000 pounds.
